Xander Schaufele over Scottie Scheffler (+125)

This is a whole tournament bet, I am betting Xander to finish better than Scottie after 72 holes.

Let me start off by saying this could be one of the dumbest bets of my life. Fading Scheffler after he has been in the best form of any golfer we have seen in years could come back to bite me, but I don’t care.

I see some value in Schauffele, he has finished the following:

• 1st at The Open

• T15 at the Scottish Open

• T13 at the Travelers

• T7 at the US Open

• T8 at the Memorial

• 1st at the PGA Championship

• 2nd at the Wells Fargo

• T18 at the RBC

• 8th at the Masters

• 5th at the Valspar

• T2 at the Players

I was going to list his finishing position until he flopped and that came in early March at the Arnold Palmer where he finished T25. My point being, he has been on fire in the last five months. No he hasn’t been as good as Scottie, I won't argue that but the value for Xander at plus money is undeniable.

Xander has finished top 10 in 8 of his L11 tournaments, I know that doesn't mean much when he is going head to head against the best in the world but he has the potential to light it up any weekend. Scottie is at the top, he has dominated in every tournament since February winning 6 of his L14 events and having top 10 finishes in 13 of those 14 events.

Just incredible stuff and that is why he is the clear favorite to bring home the gold medal but Xander is fresh off an Open win and has two major wins on the year. This man loves the spotlight and I like the plus money odds.

Xander has a real chance at another gold medal this weekend. GL.
