Alcaraz/Djokovic Parlay

Alcaraz ML/Djokovic ML (-152)

Going to make this one short and sweet, we could have predicted this would be the final before the tournament started. Just seems like it makes sense for both of these guys to play for the gold medal after their Wimbledon matchup a few weeks ago.

Backing both Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic to win their semifinals match and face each other in the finals for the gold.

Starting with Alcaraz who is my pre tournament winner at +130, he has cruised past every opponent he’s faced thus far. Winning each set by an average of 3 games is quite remarkable and has yet to drop a set in four singles matches. Alcaraz is just 3-3 lifetime against Aliassime but he has won the last three matches played, his losses came early in his career (2021, 2022 and 2022).

Aliassime is a great player ranking 19th on the ATP but going against the best player in the world should be a much greater challenge than he has faced yet. I am backing Alacaraz and will always back Alcaraz in situations like this, he is just simply too good. VAMOS!

Onto Djokovic who is the player that makes me more nervous of the two. He has been battling that knee injury for two months now and we saw him struggle a little bit in his round 4 victory against Tsitsipas with those same knee issues.

Despite those knee issues Novak was dominate, winning the first set 6-3 and then rallying in the second set after being down 0-4 to winning the tie breaker. Djokovic looked really good in my opinion, he was moving well and hitting very confident shots in all areas of the court.

His opponent will offer more of a challenge than Alcaraz’s after he knocked off Zverev this afternoon but I still don’t think Musetti will have enough to bring down the GOAT. Novak has accomplished everything in professional tennis but the one thing he is missing is an Olympic gold medal and Musetti isn’t going to be the one to derail that train.

We will get a Wimbledon rematch this weekend for the Olympic gold medal. GL.
