Real Madrid ML/Mbappe 1+ shot on goal (-150)
Had a little misfortune this morning in the Crystal Palace bet and Chelsea being unable to score but it is what it is, this is the nature of the game we move on to the next. This will be leg 1/2.
Backing Madrid on the island of Mallorca for obvious reasons, they are the best team in the world, have arguably the most talented players in the world and should be in for another victory combing off a 2-0 win against Atalanta on Wednesday. If this game is going to be anything like their L3 matches we are in for a snoozer. The last three fixtures have been 0-1 in favor of Mallorca, 1-0 and 1-0 in favor of Madrid. Mallorca has been know to “park the bus”, let Madrid dominate possession and send all of their players back to clog the box. I don’t hate this because it allows Madrid to control the game and wait for their moment and it also allows Mbappe to get a ton of looks.
Madrid is clearly the better team here and it shows with odds of -250 even on the road. I like Madrid to get the La Liga season stated off on the right foot and put on a dominate performance this afternoon.
Next, we are going to back Mbappe to get at least one shot on target, he finished his first game with Madrid with 1 shot on goal and 1 goal. He is obviously the focal point at the moment on this offense even with players like Vini, Rodrygo and Bellingham. One thing that stuck out to me was the assist Jude had on Mbappes goal in the Super Cup. Jude was just waiting for Mbappe to get open and then sent him a beautiful pass though the box to set up that goal. Mbappes off the ball movement was also incredible, just infinite amount of things this offense can do with the players surrounding him.
With just one game played it may be tough to back Mbappe to have a shot on goal with the odds so high (-450) but I think we will see these odds climb with every game played. Just too hard to defend all these players, he will slip through at least once and have a great chance at goal. Wish this was the second leg of the rollover because I love this bet so much, but going to stick to my rules and hopefully we can finally get a win today. GL.
