EPL Player Prop

Bruno Fernandes 1+ Shot on Goal/Liverpool ML (-117)

Going to make this short and sweet as the game starts soon and I already have a writeup for the Liverpool ML play.

Was thinking about taking Bruno to have a shot on goal last night but decided to lay off until I saw the lineups. Bruno will be playing in the number nine position with Rashford to his left and Mount and Mainoo behind him. With really only one game to pull data from (Man City game last weekend), he has 2 total shots and one shot on goal.

I know some would argue that Rashford is the better player, but this team revolves around Bruno he is going to get this offense going whether it is with goals or assists. With a decent attack and mid field playing alongside him going against an average defense in Fulham I think Bruno should see a couple chances at goal this afternoon.

Last thing I want to note is if there is a penalty (which isn’t great odds) he will be the man shooting from the spot, just another chance at a shot on target.

Now let’s discuss Liverpool which should be the easier leg of the two.

First competitive game under the new manager could cause for some worries but they looked good in the pre-season. Going 4-0-1 with wins over Arsenal, Man United and Sevilla. This doesn’t amount to much because they’re just friendlies but still good results none the less.

Ipswich being promoted from the Championship has the luxury of facing a full-strength Liverpool team, the same Liverpool team that should have won the league last season. An attacking line that consists of Jota, Diaz and Salah up front, Mac Allister, Gravenberch and Szoboszlai in the middle and Robertson, Van Dijk, Quansah and Trent in the back.

This is about as good as this Reds team can get and, in my opinion, this is a team that can compete for the UCL trophy. As discussed, it’s early and we don’t know how they’re going to react under the new manager, but I don’t really care. With the talent this team has they should have no troubles with Ipswich Saturday morning.

Liverpool welcomes the freshman to the league with a convincing win. GL.
