Premier League Parlay

Man United/Fulham BTTS & Liverpool ML (+110)

This is the second leg of the rollover challenge, hopefully this can cash and we can have a nice withdrawal going into the weekend.

Onto my reasoning. Backing both United and Fulham to find the back of the net tomorrow afternoon in the season opener of the 24/25’ Premier League season. It is always difficult finding factual reasoning to back your plays so early in the season so going to go out on a little bit of a limb for this one.

A little history, in the L7 Premier League seasons the opening game has seen a total of 25 goals, an average of 3.57 goals per game. That is about all the data I have in all honestly, I am going to touch on the numbers from last season for both squads and the current fitness levels of each team though. I told you, the beginning of the season is always the most difficult.

One of the reasons I was swayed into rooting for goals on Friday afternoon was due to the health of the United back line as well as the history of this Fulham defense.

Manchester United will be without Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire who played against City last weekend but still isn’t 100%. United is fortunate to have the likes of new comers Matthijs De Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui who joined the squad this week and could play crucial roles against Fulham.

Fulham on the other hand aren’t down as many players but didn’t have the greatest defensive season last season. Allowing 61 goals (1.6 per game) in 38 fixtures last season, including 4 goals to Luton in the last match of the EPL season.

Last season Fulham fell right into the middle of the pack in both goals scored (13th) and goals conceded (13th) in the Premier League. Not great but not bad numbers, with an averaging of just over 3 total goals per game in the 23/24’ season.

The main factor in backing both teams to score Friday afternoon was the fact that I trust Manchester United’s offense (even though they are the Dallas Cowboys of England in my opinion) but they have the fire power on offense and in the mid field to find the back of the net against an OK Fulham team. Fulham on the other hand, although they won’t light the world on fire on offense will see some good chances with the depleted United back line.

I like a score of 2-1 United in the Premier League season opener tomorrow. GL.

Now let’s discuss Liverpool which should be the easier leg of the two.

First compatible game under the new manager could cause for some worries but they looked good in the pre season. Going 4-0-1 with wins over Arsenal, Man United and Sevilla. This doesn’t amount to much because they’re just friendlies but still good results none the less.

Ipswich being promoted from the Championship and has the luxury of facing a full strength Liverpool team, the same Liverpool team that should have won the league last season. A line that consists of Jota, Diaz and Salah up front, Mac Allister, Gravenberch and Szoboszlai in the middle and Robertson, Van Dijk, Quansah and Trent in the back.

This is about as good as this Reds team can get and in my opinion this is a team that can compete for the UCL trophy. As discussed it’s early and we don’t know how they’re going to react under the new manager but I don’t really care. The talent this team has they should have no troubles with Ipswich Saturday morning.

Liverpool welcomes the freshman to the league with a convincing win. GL.
