Dolphins ML (-120)

Regardless of what is going on with the Tyreek incident I had to use this picture of him and Waddle because its gangster. Anyways let’s get into the analysis.

Both the Dolphins and the Bills had comeback wins in week 1 after trailing in the first half. Dolphins went on to beat the Jaguars with a last second field goal and the Bills beat the Cardinals after dropping 24 points in the second half. Backing the Dolphins at home on Thursday night because even though the Bills have Josh Allen, the Dolphins offense will be too much for the Bills to contain.

The Bills offense looked really good against the Cardinals in week one. Allen was 18/23 for 232 YDS and 2 TDs while adding 39 yards and 2 TDs on the ground. James Cook also rushed for 71 yards on 19 carries. Allen had completions to nine different receivers, after losing Diggs and Davis he seemed to be spreading the ball around looking to get everyone involved. Despite allowing 28 points the Bills defense held Murray to just 21/31 for just 162 YDs with Dortch leading the team in receiving yards with 47 yards. Lastly, the Bill defense got crushed on the ground allowing 124 YDs on 25 carries but most of that came from Kyler who rushed or 57 yards on 5 carries. Buffalo won’t have to worry about Tua scrambling like Murray, but they will have to worry about their skill players (Hill, Waddle, Achane and Mostert) who will be the deciding factor Thursday night.

In the win against Jacksonville the Miami offense torched the Jaguars secondary. Throwing for 338 YDs with Hill having 7 receptions for 130 yards and 1 TD, Waddle with 5 catches for 109 yards and Achane with 7 receptions for 76 yards. They didn’t do much on the ground with just 25 carries for 81 yards, but they were slinging the rock through the air. Miami also did a very good job at limiting the pass game of Jacksonville, allowing 162 YDs and 8 combined catches to the Jags top three receivers.

I think the Dolphins will struggle at times to stop the Bills rush after allowing 4.9 yards per carry to the Jaguars, but I think the mismatch between the Dolphins pass game and the Bills secondary will be too much for Josh Allen to overcome. Despite returning three cornerbacks the produced an 80+ grade via PFF they lose Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde who were longtime starters in the secondary. They will now relay on Cam Lewis and Damar Hamlin to try and fill their shoes and its some big shoes to fill especially against this Miami passing game.

Dolphins get another in on the backs of Tua, Hill and Achane. GL.

Keep on the lookout, I will be adding a player prop in another article later in the week.
