Tottenham/Arsenal Prop

Arsenal Team Total OVER 1.5 (-130)

I could end up regretting this, but this seems like the easiest bet in a while. As I have said a million times in the past few weeks, Tottenham concede goals for fun because their line plays so high. They are an offense first team but can be beat so easily on the counterattack. Although they have conceded just three combined goals through three games, they have yet to play a team of Arsenals caliber. Allowed one goal to Leicester, zero goals to Everton and most recently two goals to Newcastle. Also, last season Tottenham allowed a total 61 goals, good for 1.6 per game.

Tottenham now faces an Arsenal team that scored the 2nd most goals in the league last season at 91, for an average of 2.39 per game. Arsenal have begun to replicate that offensive success with a combined five goals already through three games and scoring 2+ goals in 2 of 3 games. Only game where they failed to find the back of the net more than once was against Brighton when Declean Rice received a red card shortly after halftime. Additionally, in the two matchup’s last season, Arsenal scored two goals in each game and a combined 27 shots with 11 coming on target.

Early reports look like Martin Odegaard will miss this game after picking up an injury over the international break. His loss will be felt, as he is a crucial player in the mid field, but this Arsenal team has enough talent to still find the back of net, even without him on the field.

I will probably be adding another pick for this game, as I am liking both teams to score but will wait till later in the week. Hoping the odds come down a little, sitting at -210 currently. GL.
