US Open Future Pt. 2

Jannik Sinner Mens Champion (+140)

After the heartbreak to Djokovic last night I felt it was only right that I now post a secondary future bet on Sinner. As discussed in my write up for the Novak future, I truly thought the only three guys that had a legitimate chance at winning this tournament were Sinner, Alcaraz and Djokovic. Now that the other two “favorites” in my eyes are eliminated I had to back my word and take a stab at Sinner, especially at these odds (honestly thought they would be closer to even).

The only real challenging matches I see in his route to the final would be against #12 Tommy Paul and #5 Medvedev, considering they both win their matches. After what happened to Alcaraz and Djokovic in round three there seem to be no more easy matches but, what I mean is he is expected to win those matches.

If he were to play Tommy Paul he has a career 2-1 record against him and if it were Medvedev he is 5-7 lifetime but has won 7 of the L8 matchups. Almost all of the losses have come early in his career, these two have a great history but Sinner has gotten the best of him in the recent years.

As we have seen all tournament it will be tough, seems like the under seeded guys are playing like their lives depend on it. There are great players still left but without Djokovic and Alcaraz in the field I think it only makes sense to take a chance with Sinner at this number. GL.
