EPL x CBB
Ollie Watkins 1+ SOG/Joao Pedro 1+ SOG/UNC ML (+111)
For the first leg of this parlay, I am backing Ollie Watkins to record 1+ shot on goal. Watkins has had a shot on goal in every game but 3 this Premier League season (hitting at an 85.7% clip). Also, Watkins has managed at least 1 shot on goal in 15 of the L16 EPL games. Most recently when Newcastle faced Man City, Julian Alvarez played striker for City, the same position Watkins will play this afternoon and had 6 shots and 2 on goal. When Newcastle faced Liverpool on 1/1 Darwin Nunez who also played striker had 7 total shots and 4 on goal in only 50 minutes of work. This Newcastle defense has been torched, letting up 20 goals in the L11 games (avg. 1.8 goals conceded per game). Lastly, with Watkins averaging 2.8 shots per game, going against a Newcastle back line that has struggled to defend forwards of Watkins caliber I see him having no trouble getting a high volume of attempts this afternoon. Just need one.
Backing more English Prem. League for the second leg of this parlay because Joao Pedro has been on fire. Over his L5 games (3 EPL, 2 FA Cup) Pedro has a combined 17 shots, 12 on goal and 7 goals. Also, in the L9 Premier League games Pedro has 27 total shots and 15 goal. Due to the injuries Pedro is finally getting a chance to shine, coming off the bench for the better half of the season he has now seen starting roles in all competitions over the past two months and has made the most of it. With the current form of Pedro there’s just no way I can fade him especially against Luton who's conceded 38 goals on the year and 17 goals in the L10 games.
Lastly, adding UNC ML to cap this parlay off against a Georgia Tech team that has been abysmal lately losing 8 of their L9 games and no welcomes the #3 team in the country. During that 9-game stretch GT is allowing 81.7 PPG and averaging just 65.6 PPG in their L3. One the other hand UNC has been cooking, 10-0 in their L10, averaging 81.3 PPG and allowing just 63 PPG. There isn’t much too this just two teams trending in opposite directions and two teams on opposite sides of the spectrum in terms of record and talent. UNC should have no trouble tonight in Atlanta. GL.
