TOUR Championship Round 2

Xander Schauffele UNDER 67.5 (-115)

This is for just round 2 (Friday 8/30).

After an average round yesterday in round 1, I am backing Xander to come out and really chip away at Scotties lead, he is going to have to if he wants any chance at winning this thing. He finished round 1 at just (-1) while carding three birdies and two bogeys. At last year’s TOUR Championship, he finished -3, -6, -2, and -8 for an average score of (-4.75). In 2021/2022 he finished -4, -7, E and -1 for an average score of (-3). In 2020/2021 he finished-2, -1, -3, and -6 for an average score of (-3) and lastly in 2019/2020 he recorded rounds of -3, -5, -3, and -4 for an average of (-3.75).

In the L4 years, Xander has an average score of (-3.6) under par, just barley under the score he needs this afternoon. The course is a par 71 so he would need a -4 round or better to score under 67.5. Although he would need an above average round for this bet to cash, I like our chances due to the circumstances. Hunting down Scheffler in the last event of the year, with $25 million on the line I think he will go all in and set himself up to make a move over the weekend. We have seen him clutch up in the PGA Championship, The Open Championship and the Olympics up until the last round, he has the ability to play big in big moments and I think he does more of the same this afternoon. GL.
