Open Championship
Scottie Scheffler UNDER 69.5 (+110)
It has been a rough start to the last major of the year for most players with the cut being at +6 and just 7 players under par. It would be safe to say that Royal Troon is playing difficult for the majority of the field.
Scottie finished both rounds 1 and 2 and -1 for a combined -2 heading into Saturday. His line is placed at 69.5, with par being 71. Meaning he needs to finish this round at -2 or better for this bet to hit. With the course playing extremely hard and the weather not helping most would feel that it’s a safe bet to back Scottie to finish at -1 or worse like he has thus far but I disagree. Scheffler is clearly the best golfer in the world and has dominated majors all season long.
He has shown his ability to hit birdies in the first two rounds with 4 in round 1 and 3 in round 2. If he is able to clean up his bogeys he should be in great position to finish well under par this afternoon. Lastly, I know I talked about the course and the confusions earlier but the fact that we are able to get Scheffler at plus money to finish just two strokes under par is almost a must bet for me every time this chances comes up.
