Wednesday EPL Pt.1

Tottenham/Brentford BTTS & Man City -1.5 (+103)

Both teams have scored in 4 of the L4 games for Brentford and with the boost of Ivan Toney back after a long layoff I think they should have enough to see the back of the net at least once. Toney provided so much needed offense in Brentford’s most recent game scoring 1 goal as they went on to beat Nottingham Forest 3-2. Tottenham has conceded at least one goal in 12 of the L14 games and are coming off a game against Manchester City where they allowed 18 shots and 14 corner kicks.

I have little worry with Tottenham finding the back of the net this afternoon as they have scored at least one goal in 27 of their L28 matches with the lone match coming last Friday against Manchester City. With Maddison back in the midfield I think he should provide enough to score at least one.

Lastly, backing Man City to a rather comfortable win against Burnley, with Kevin De Bruyne and Doku back in the starting lineup and Haaland fit to come off the bench I see no reason why City shouldn’t win by 2+ goals here. I know we are much deeper into the season and both teams have change a ton, but City beat Burnley 3-0 back in September on the road. City has won 4 of their L6 games by 2+ goals and have scored 2+ goals in 18 of their L20 games and in 9 of their L10 overall. Burnley has allowed 2+ goals in 10 of their L16 games, but 12 of those 16 games came against teams that weren’t even in the top 5 in the league. They now face City on the road, who is tied for first in the EPL with 48 goals in the year.

Record: 11-8
