Chelsea ML (-130)

Hear me out, I know they looked terrible against City last weekend but this may be my favorite bet of the day. I think this is a great bounce back spot for Chelsea to get some points.

The talent isn’t the problem for the blues because they have more than enough players, honestly they have too many, they just need to learn how to play together.

Although losing 2-0 to Arsenal last week, Wolves put up a decent fight, so this won’t be a cake walk for Chelsea by any means. I do believe though that if they play like they should they will win this game by multiple goals.

I have no idea how they are going to lineup tomorrow with Nkunku, Neto and Felix all deserving to start but all three playing the same position. That has really become the challenge for Chelsea, not to mention they have a striker that doesn’t know how to score in Nicholas Jackson. Despite all those problems they are clearly the better team.

I don’t have much for either team to go off of, I’m simply making this bet based off projections. I know they aren’t the most accurate but the talent discrepancy in this game is massive and I am willing to take my chances with Chelsea to hopefully figure this out and get some points.

Liverpool -1.5 (-148)

For those who know me you know that Liverpool is my team but I will not let that cloud my judgement, they should be able to dominate Brentford Sunday morning.

A Brentford team without Toney will not be able to keep pace with Liverpool, I know they looked pretty good last week against Palace but Liverpool is a different animal. I know this is a hot take but Liverpool has one of the best rosters in the Premier League and in the world, they have quality players in attack, midfield, defense and in goal. After a slow start to Ipswich last week they were able to find the net twice in the second half and finished the game with 18 shots, 12 on goal and 10 corners.

Despite allowing just one goal to Crystal Palace last week, Brentford still allowed them have 14 shots and 5 came on goal. They kept the goals off the board but allowed plenty of chances and Liverpool won’t miss those chances, they will put balls in the back of the net.

I talked about how Brentford lost Toney or is about to lose Ivan Toney to the Middle East. tThey survived the first half of the season without him but he for sure makes an impact for their offense. Yoane Wissa could potentially fill that void, showing his quality last game but again this Liverpool defense is far greater than Palace.

The Reds at home will be too much for Brentford to contend with in my opinion, and they should have an easy victory tomorrow morning. GL.

Newcastle draw no bet (-150)

Was very shocked when I saw this line, I know Newcastle shouldn’t be a heavy favorite but even on the road I think they should have been minus money. I believe they are around +120 to win the game, I mean I’m not complaining because I’m going to take advantage of it but, was just odd. Decided to play it safe and take Newcastle draw no bet, odds aren’t great but they’re not bad either, I really like this pick.

Newcastle overcame a bad red card in the first half of the season opener to Southampton and were still able to score and win that game with 10 men. Bournemouth isn’t a major step up in competition but I would say they’re slightly better than Southampton, so they will need to bring a similar performance tomorrow to pull this off.

While Newcastle is still battling injuries on defense they do have Isak and Gordan back healthy starting up front. These two are a deadly duo who combined for 32 goals and 12 assists last season. I expect both of these guys to take advantage of a Bournemouth defense that ranked 5th worst, allowing 67 goals in 38 games last season.

Bournemouth on the other hand survived a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest but I don’t think they continue their success against Newcastle. The biggest problem for Bournemouth is they conceded a ton of goals and don’t have the offensive production to keep up. They lost Dominic Solanke over the summer to Tottenham, they’re leading goal scorer last season by a far margin with 19 goals and 3 assists on the year.

Its still early and Bournemouth could find a way to replace his production but at these odds I feel much more comfortable backing Newcastle. GL.

Bayern Munich ML/Real Madrid ML (-155)

Onto the last pick of the day, backing the best team in Spain and the best team in Germany.

Starting with Bayern Munich making their debut for the Bundesliga season. They are almost at full strength despite losing De Ligt to Manchester United, Sane out due to injury but they acquired Michael Olise from Crystal Palace a beast in the front half. Olise will be a great addition to this Bayern offense with 10 goals and 6 assists in just 14 starts last season. Him, Kane and Musiala are expected to make some noise this season.

Not even one game into the season I don’t have much to note between both Bayern and Wolfsburg, but one thing I can mention is Wolfsburg will be without a bunch of players on both sides of the ball. Bayern also won both matchups last season 2-1 and 2-0. The talent gap is just too much for Wolfsburg to overcome and Bayern should start the season on the right foot.

Next will talk about Madrid which doesn’t really require much of an analysis. They are the best team in the world and come into this game as a clear favorite at -750. They will have their first game at the Bernabeu without Bellingham but will obviously have Mbappe. I don’t really have much to say in regards to Madrid, they are just simply too good and should dominate Valladolid.

I thought they were going to dominate Mallorca last weekend and it back fired so this isn’t a definite but I love our chances. Freshly promoted into the La Liga Real Madrid will give them a very warm welcome, especially during their home opener.

Madrid bounce back and get three easy points Sunday morning. GL.
