Man City/Man United Community Shield

Haaland 1+ shot on goal/BTTS (-126)

Since this is the first competitive match for both sides this season there isn’t a ton of data to back my claim but going to give to give it my best shot because I really like this bet.

Starting with Haaland, in four club friendlies this season he has 5 goals on 12 shots and 8 shots on target. I know this aren’t the most competitive matches but Haaland has been in great form and with the departure of Julian Alvarez he will continue to be the main focal point of this City offense.

Next, Manchester United is coming off a game against Liverpool where they allowed 3 goals and 5 shots on goal. It seems there defensive issues will remain the same early this season. I think Haaland should have zero troubles putting at least one shot on frame today.

Onto the second leg of this paraly, the more challenging aspect in my opinion. I have zero issues backing City to score as I discussed the success of Haaland and the success of the offense in their last game against Chelsea. Scoring 4 goals on 10 shots and 7 on goal. Wasn’t the most volume we’ve seen from City but they were hyper efficient. They also allowed 2 goals to a struggling Chelsea team which gives me hope for United to net at least one with what looks to be a starting front from them.

With Mount, Rashford and Fernandes up front and Casemiro and Mainoo in the middle I really think this combo can cause Man City some issues.

Even though this will be the first important match for both sides this season I like both offenses to come out and have a ton of chances this morning. GL.
